I tried to be ungrateful
For a friendship that went south
I tried to muster pissy-ness
In my brain, if not my mouth

And just for fun I added:
Too many loved ones gone,
Not enough time each day for me
All the times that I was wrong.

I tried to be ungrateful,
But down deep inside I knew
Every single moment matters
And each one deserves its due

Every heartache, every sting
And every second stole
Ingredients to recipes
That make my whole life whole.
