Fairy Magic

In Maine there are fairies.

No, I haven’t seen them, but I know they are here.

They do all sorts of fun and strange things, and I think this is one of those things.

We have gardens in Maine, lots and lots of them.

Old-world roses, peonies, herbs, apple and crab apple trees, black-eyed susans, beach roses, irises, and on and on an on.

But no tulips.

Well…

Now one tulip.

Just one.

It is clearly a ‘she’.

And she is red.

A lady in red, swaying and calling all sorts of attention to herself by the water.

I didn’t plant her.

She just showed up.

I’m pretty sure to bring smiles to me, and anyone else who happens by.
