… on shades of blue
January 18, 2017
The light streams in
The world anew
In dawning, dulcet
Shades of blue.
The snowflakes fly
As snowflakes do
In Maine, if not
In Katmandu.
Clouds veil, obscure
The sun’s debut
Obstructionists
Casting voodoo.
I’ve been seduced
By nature’s woo
Into a lovely
Pas de deux.
Thoughts fall away
And dreams push through
As time suspends
It’s just we two.
But…
Winter’s cold
And I am too
The spell absconds
I won’t freeze… whew.
Soon back inside
With morning’s brew
And memories
Of shades of blue.
